Michail Lagogiannis
Managing Director
Michail is a co-founder and Managing Director of Resolute Advisory with over 20 years of experience in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions across a wide range of industries.
Michail brings a professional and pragmatic approach to all situations, which benefits clients across a range of assignments including agreed and hostile takeovers, private treaty acquisitions and disposals, equity and debt capital raisings and corporate restructures.
Prior to jointly founding Resolute Advisory in 2019, Michail worked with Gresham Partners for fourteen years. Michail commenced his career with Ferrier Hodgson working on a range of assignments including trade sales, strategic business reviews and corporate restructures.
Michail holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
In 2001, Michail completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School, which included an exchange to Georgetown University in Washington DC. In 2007, Michail won the National Dux Prize for the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Simon Reith
Managing Director
Prior to jointly founding Resolute Advisory, Simon ran his own firm, Trenavin Advisory and has previously headed Barclays Melbourne office and the Barclays Australian Natural Resources investment banking team. He specialises in Australian private and public market M&A advisory.
Simon possesses over 20 years of advisory experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate restructuring and chartered accountancy in Europe and Australia. He has executed over A$45 billion in completed advisory assignments during his career advising on transactions across multiple sectors including financial institutions, technology, oil and gas, metals and mining, infrastructure, real estate, automotive, healthcare, retail, telecommunications and general industrials.
Prior to joining Barclays in 2009, Simon spent five years at Dresdner Kleinwort where he was a Vice President in their European M&A team. Simon began his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Australia specializing in assurance and corporate finance and subsequently worked in London before returning to Australia in 2010.
Simon graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Finance and Economics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Tanaka Mahachi
Vice President
Tanaka has over 10 years of experience in M&A and capital markets. Prior to joining Resolute Advisory in 2019, Tanaka was an M&A Associate at HSBC following two years in New York as an Associate in Natural Resources Coverage at Barclays Capital. Previous to commencing in investment banking, he spent nine years working as a derivatives trader with IG Markets.
Tanaka has extensive experience across a range of products, including M&A, ECM and debt advisory. He graduated from the Yale School of Management with an MBA in 2016, prior to which he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne. He also became a CFA charter holder in 2012.
Gary Chen
Associate
Prior to joining Resolute Advisory, Gary was an Investment Banking Analyst at CLSA Australia where he worked on several ECM and cross border M&A engagements. Before CLSA, he was a Senior Analyst within the Transaction Services team at Deloitte where he worked on several landmark M&A engagements as a financial due diligence advisor.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Management) from the University of Melbourne. During his time at university, Gary completed a finance internship at MetLife Securities in Shanghai, as well as various social volunteering projects.
Jordyn Jackson
Associate
Prior to joining Resolute Advisory, Jordyn was a Senior Analyst in the Transaction Services team at KPMG, where he worked on both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements. Before KPMG, Jordyn worked in the commercial finance team at Coles Group supporting teams across merchandise, operations, property, and strategy.
Jordyn studied a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) at Monash Business School where he graduated on the Dean’s Honours List and also achieved an academic award in Taxation Law. Jordyn also studied abroad at the Monash Prato campus in Italy. Jordyn is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Prue Bingley
Transaction Support
Prue has over 20 years of professional experience in financial accounting and finance team support. Prue provides clients with a range of transaction support services including financial reporting assistance and data room management. Prue works with our clients to help ensure they are ‘deal ready’ and transaction processes run smoothly.
Prue has worked across a wide range of industries including financial services, manufacturing and diversified industrials.
Prue commenced her career with Deloitte in Melbourne and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Prue holds a Bachelor of Business and Accounting from RMIT.
