Michail Lagogiannis
Managing Director
Michail is the founder and Managing Director of Resolute Advisory with over 20 years of experience in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions across a wide range of industries.
Michail brings a professional and pragmatic approach to all situations, which benefits clients across a range of assignments including agreed and hostile takeovers, private treaty acquisitions and disposals, equity and debt capital raisings and corporate restructures.
Prior to founding Resolute Advisory in 2019, Michail worked with Gresham Partners for fourteen years. Michail commenced his career with Ferrier Hodgson working on a range of assignments including trade sales, strategic business reviews and corporate restructures.
Michail holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
In 2001, Michail completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School, which included an exchange to Georgetown University in Washington DC. In 2007, Michail won the National Dux Prize for the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Tanaka Mahachi
Vice President
Tanaka has over 15 years of experience in M&A and capital markets. Prior to joining Resolute Advisory in 2019, Tanaka was an M&A Associate at HSBC following two years in New York as an Associate in Natural Resources Coverage at Barclays Capital. Previous to commencing in investment banking, he spent nine years working as a derivatives trader with IG Markets.
Tanaka has extensive experience across a range of products, including M&A, ECM and debt advisory. He graduated from the Yale School of Management with an MBA in 2016, prior to which he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne. He also became a CFA charter holder in 2012.
Christopher Perry
Analyst
Prior to joining Resolute Advisory as an analyst in 2024, Christopher worked in financial administration with a food and beverage retail company, supporting the development and growth of numerous successful food brands. In addition, Christopher gained experience as an intern in the Business Advisory team at KPMG, where he worked on financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and process improvement.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Finance from Monash University, graduating with High Distinction and receiving academic awards in Investment Banking and Experimental Economics. He also studied Banking and Private Equity at King’s College London. Christopher has also passed CFA Level I.
Jiarui Du
Analyst
Prior to joining Resolute Advisory, Jiarui gained experience at a boutique corporate advisory firm, focusing on financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence for mid-market M&A transactions across consumer, industrials, and healthcare. Prior to this, Jiarui was an investment management intern at HESTA Super Fund, where she worked on dynamic asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing.
Jiarui holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Economics. She graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded the International Undergraduate Scholarship. In addition, Jiarui was recognised on the Dean’s Honours List and also ranked first in Corporate Financial Decision Making.
